Texas Carry was formed by gun rights activists who felt they needed a stronger voice in Texas. The organization represents not only its members but also the millions of gun owners in Texas. We rely heavily on local volunteers to help advocate and educate Texans on our rights. Meet our leaders below.
Terry Holcomb, Sr.
Terry Holcomb is well known as the "open carry preacher". In 2013 after seeing the failure of the Legislature to protect second amendment rights, Terry become one of the strongest gun rights activists in the state. During such activism, Terry was unlawfully arrested while legally open carrying a pre-1899 black powder pistol replica. His case was eventually dismissed, but not without a fight. With the lack of a strong gun rights group to lobby, litigate, and educate for all aspects of the second amendment, Texas Carry was born to advocate for those rights. Terry grew up in Texas and has a beautiful family with his wife, Gina.
